Responsibility

We must always accept responsibility for our own happiness as no other person can ever dictate the amount of joy we can experience in our lives. Happiness is a state of the mind, I was told when I attended a-4-day Patterns of Excellence workshop with Adam Khoo Learning Technologies. No one or nothing can cause anyone else to be unhappy. Unfortunately there are people who relentlessly cling to the thought that someone or something can cause us to be happy or unhappy. I am sure that generally everyone wants to be happy. Everyone has a right to live their lives according to their own values and beliefs.

Negative comments from other people only last the amount of time during which they're uttered. The same goes for their actions.

If you think you're having a problem you need to figure out exactly what is the problem. It is not the end of the world. It is a life process. There will be moments of disappointment and pain. These are unavoidable. The important thing is not to let these moments overshadow the happy and successful ones or be a barrier to our future moments of joy and contentment.

You can choose to rise each time you fall, or you can choose to crawl on your stomach the rest of the way. Remember that you have a choice. You can do whatever you want to, if you set your mind and heart to it.

You are capable of all the wonderful things in life: love, knowledge, joy, and creativity. Have faith that no matter how big your problems may seem, you will find a way to overcome them. Accept your responsibility to be happy today.
